We own the exclusive publishing rights to the "Culhane" line of training manuals, Canada's leading aviation training course manuals and referenced exam manuals for all levels of fixed wing and rotary wing licences and ratings, from student pilot through to ATPL. In terms of total consolidated sales, we have now sold over 100,000 copies of our training texts, and since the inception of our business in 1988, there have been tens of thousands of pilots that have used our publications to help them succeed on their written examinations and flight tests. We have a fixed base of operations near the main terminal complex at YVR International Airport in Richmond, BC, where we warehouse/inventory, ship and distribute our training manuals to flying schools, flying clubs and to individuals worldwide, and where we also offer accelerated ground schools for Canadian aviation exams, flight simulator instruction, one-to-one exam prep tutoring, and a pilot shop. We are a dynamic, growing, 100% British Columbia owned and operated business and we will need people to work with us as we expand in the coming months and years ahead.

We are presently seeking part time employees for the following positions:

Counter Salesperson. Duties for this position include completing debit card, credit card and cash retail sales transactions, taking telephone orders, advising customers on our available aviation training products, keeping track of store inventory, keeping our product displays/racks etc. neat and organized, and scheduling student bookings for our exam preparation seminars and flight simulator bookings. Persons having the following qualifications will meet our requirements:

• Canadian citizen or landed immigrant/permanent resident.
• Available to work weekdays and/or weekends.
• Previous aviation related sales experience preferred, in particular, preference will be given to those having familiarity and experience with selling aviation related products such as pilot supplies, aircraft models, aviation books and/or flight school booking counter, airline dispatch experience etc.
• Active hobby or other interest in aviation as recreational/private/student pilot or aircraft modeller/aircraft spotter would be an asset.
• Education: high school graduate.
• Thorough and complete knowledge of our available aviation training products, services and publications.
• Good working with people, polite and well groomed.

The starting pay we offer for this position is $10.00 per hour.

Aviation Retail Store Manager. Duties for this position include all duties of counter salesperson as above, and additionally as follows: the overall supervision of our pilot shop/retail store operation, inventory control, dealing with aviation products suppliers and ordering aviation products as necessary, making recommendations as to products we should carry and what inventory levels should be kept on hand, handling customer enquiries including giving detailed product information to customers about aviation training products, training and supervision of retail sales staff, scheduling retail sales staff hours, reporting to us as appropriate and advising us of improvements that we can make to maximize the overall profitablity of our operation.

• Canadian citizen or landed immigrant/permanent resident.
• Available to work weekdays and/or weekends.
• Direct experience in managing an aviation products retail store is important, in particular, preference will be given to those having strong and current knowledge of the Canadian aviation training products market including Canadian pilot training manuals, aircraft models (diecast and desktop), aviation technical/maintenance manuals, good knowledge of various aviation licences issued and of pilot training standards in general.
• Education: at least high school graduation; preference will be given to those with higher formal education e.g. college diploma, trade certificate, university degree.
• Thorough and complete knowledge of our available aviation training products, services and publications.
• Good working with people, polite and well groomed.

The starting pay we offer for this position is $20.00 per hour.

Flight Simulator Instructor. Duties for this position include providing instrument flying training and/or multi-engine procedures training on our ATC-810 flight simulator, completing appropriate pre and post flight briefings for simulator training sessions, and billing customers for payment following training sessions. Persons having the following qualifications will meet our requirements:

• Canadian citizen or landed immigrant/permanent resident.
• Current Class I, II or III Canadian Flight Instructor Rating with current, valid Group 1 Instrument Rating.
• 1,000 hrs minimum total flight time.
• 500 hrs minimum total multi-engine flight time.
• Extensive experience and knowledge of the ATC-810 flight simulator systems and its operating features and procedures.
• Minimum of at least 10 pilots previously recommended for successful completion of Group 1 Instrument Rating.
• Familiarity and good knowledge of our available training products and publications.
• Completion of formal education to first year university or college level.
• Good working with people, polite and well groomed.

The starting pay we offer for this position is $25.00 per hour based on flight simulator revenue generating time, $20.00 per hour based on pre/post flight briefings.

Fixed Wing Ground School Instructor - Private and Commercial Licences. Duties for this position include providing one-to-one ground school and accelerated weekend exam prep seminars for purposes of preparing candidates for Transport Canada Private Pilot and/or Commercial Pilot - Aeroplane written examinations. Persons having the following qualifications will meet our requirements:

• Canadian citizen or landed immigrant/permanent resident.
• Available to work weekdays, evenings and/or weekends.
• 500 hrs minimum total flight time.
• 100 hrs minimum total multi-engine flight time.
• Group 1 Instrument Rating held within past 3 years.
• Class I, II, III or IV Flight Instructor Rating held within past 3 years.
• Minimum of at least 1 year full time teaching experience as a flight instructor with a flight training unit.
• Detailed knowledge of our available training products and publications.
• Completion of formal education to first year university or college level.
• Good working with people, polite and well groomed.
• Experience teaching PPL/CPL ground schools.

The starting pay we offer for this position is $25.00 per hour.

Fixed Wing Ground School Instructor - Advanced Licences/Ratings. Duties for this position include providing one-to-one ground school and accelerated weekend exam prep seminars for purposes of preparing candidates for Transport Canada Instrument Rating, ATPL and IATRA written examinations. Persons having the following qualifications will meet our requirements:

• Canadian citizen or landed immigrant/permanent resident.
• Available to work weekdays, evenings and/or weekends.
• 3,000 hrs minimum total flight time.
• 1,000 hrs minimum total multi-engine flight time.
• Group 1 Instrument Rating held within past 3 years.
• Thorough and complete knowledge of our available training products and publications.
• Completion of formal education to first year university or college level.
• Good working with people, polite and well groomed.
• Aviation teaching experience would be an asset i.e. current or previously held Flight Instructor Rating, chief pilot/check pilot examiner experience, air operator ground instructor etc.

The starting pay we offer for this position is $30.00 per hour.

Helicopter Pilot Ground School Instructor - Private and Commercial Helicopter Licences. Duties for this position include providing one-to-one ground school and accelerated weekend exam prep seminars for purposes of preparing candidates for Transport Canada Private Pilot and/or Commercial Pilot - Helicopter (PPHEL/CPHEL) written examinations. Persons having the following qualifications will meet our requirements:

• Canadian citizen or landed immigrant/permanent resident.
• Available to work weekdays, evenings and/or weekends.
• 500 hrs minimum total flight time.
• 1000 hrs minimum total helicopter flight time.
• Minimum of at least 1 year full time teaching experience as a flight instructor with a flight training unit.
• Detailed knowledge of our available helicopter training products/services and publications.
• Good working with people, polite and well groomed.
• Experience teaching PPL-H/CPL-H ground schools.

The starting pay we offer for this position is $30.00 per hour.
